Tough question! The economy is chugging along but the country is clearly more divided as a result of his presidency. But hey, there is never a dull moment and all of a sudden everyone is interested in politics!

I agree that divisions in the country seem to be at an all-time high. That's not good, but I'm not entirely sure that's all on him, either. There are surely a number of other factors that contribute to that.

The economy seems to be doing well, yeah. But how much of an impact does one person really have on that? I'm not sure the trade policies he levied against China really helped all that much. But hey, my 401K isn't in the tubes, so that's cool I guess.

This article in the Atlantic is less about Trump's impact on America and more about how our country's politics have consolidated further and further into a two-party system since the mid-1990s or so. This shift, in my opinion, is part of what brought us Donald Trump as president. Voter and politicians alike vote with the party, not for a candidate.

It's an interesting read. How many folks can honestly say they vote for the candidate in specific rather than the party noted next to the name? I imagine that number may be higher than some think for Trump supporters, but who knows?

I believe it to be extremely negative due to his extreme demeanor. More division is never a good thing!

On the surface it feels negative, but he is doing some important things like pushing back at China. In the big picture, this is so important to the longevity of our economy.

I wholly disagree with that based on what he has brewing between US and Iran. I have a very bad feeling about all this.

I struggle to see how getting into a war - if that's how this ends - is anything but negative.

The problem is that the question is not correct! The democrats have created a negative impact on the USA. The question is almost answered by asking what did they gain in an America where Trump was resolving problems? They were able to effect an election that they could control! Some by people who had been convinced Trump was bad through propaganda. I have heard people who believe the lies told about Trump but can not see the harm that Joe did in closing down jobs. Who can not see that when Trump shut down foreign travel because of Civic that he was accused by dumb people that Trump was biased to the oriental. Still no great condemnation from Dumb Joe and no apologies for the people he left on the tarmack.
